Saturday Morning

So while we wait for the guesses to roll in, I thought you might get a kick out of what a normal Saturday morning around here may or may not look like.

Girl or Boy??

I can't believe I'm already far enough along to know the gender, but I am, and we very definitely do! Question is, what do you think it is?? Ah yes, I like a little guessing game, so if you would be so kind and I promise to tell you soon!

PS! For those of you who may already know.... Shhhh!!!

Joel & Savannah: Engagement Portraits

These two country lovebirds are getting married soon! Most of the photos taken in their portrait session were not even posed. They were just naturally adorable and weren't shy to show their love.

 Haha, yes, sometimes a relationship and photography can feel like a juggling act.

Congratulations, Joel & Savi!

Dana & Jacqueline: a Summer Wedding

I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road.

But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through

I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you.

:: :: ::

I think about the years I've spent just passing through

I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you.

But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there, you understand

It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true.

:: :: ::

Every long, lost dream
Led me to where you are

Others who broke my heart, they were like Northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms

This much I know is true:

That God blessed the broken road that let me straight to you.

:: :: ::

Now I'm just rolling home into my lover's arms.

This much I know is true:
That God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you.

Song: Bless the Broken Road

This is How We Make Our Cookies

After all the raving reviews on Pinterest and the intense craving for a good, chewy chocolate chip cookie, Jimmy and I decided that Labor Day was a good day to try out the "BEST-EVER Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies" after he got up from his nap. They were indeed the best ever and we both had way too much fun messing up the kitchen with our little project.

(Seriously, if you want a nice, yummy, chewy, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate chip cookie recipe, you simply must try this recipe. Seriously, it is not an option!! This isn't just your normal, run-of-the-mill chocolate chip cookie recipe. No, this recipe contains a secret ingredient. Yes indeedy.)
